THE AQUINAS CIRCLE is an informal gathering that takes place on a Wednesday evening from 8.00pm on a fortnightly basis. We meet in the ‘Upper Room’ of the KPA (Keele Post Graduate Association) which means that we can have a relaxed ambiance, a glass of wine, a pint of beer (or two) whilst we chat, or listen to a guest speaker talk about, a topic of interest. If you get there a bit early you can also order food from the bar.
The group is primarily, but not exclusively, aimed at Catholics and the topics we look at are related to Catholic Theology, Catholic Church teaching and issues we face in living our lives as practicing Catholics today.
St Thomas Aquinas is the patron saint of Universities and was a champion of the importance of the importance and compatibility of both faith and reason.
